for an Immediate Response
Following a massive protest last night at the University of California, Berkeley that led to the cancellation of his speaking engagement, Breitbart London editor and conservative media personality Milo Yiannopoulos appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show tonight to talk about it.
As it happens, the main thing bugging Yiannopoulos was that he was denied the opportunity to troll critics by wearing a racially and culturally insensitive costume.
“I was going to talk about cultural appropriation in full Native American headdress. I had a full custom headdress made with my name embroidered on it. I was SO upset I didn’t get a chance to wear that,” Yiannopoulos told Carlson.
Yiannopoulos is known for a breezy attitude in response to critics and his appearance tonight was no exception, even if he painted an ominous picture of student unrest. “The media has created this environment in which it’s OK to say almost anything about somebody who is right of Jane Fonda,” he said, adding that there should be consequence “because it’s only going to get worse.”
Yiannopoulos made a name for himself as an advocate for the online harassment campaign called “gamergate” in 2014, and was permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 after inciting a similar campaign of harassment against “Ghostbusters” and “SNL” star Leslie Jones.
